Mawsynram Indian Village....🇮🇳🇮🇳
Welcome to Mawsynram village most rainy place on Earth.....
Mowsynram is a village in North East India that lies on the crest of a V- shaped valley in Khasi hills in the state of Meghalaya. 65 kilometers from Shillong.
Indian subcontinent as tropical monsoon type of climate 80% of India receives rainfall in the Southwest monsoon season.
The warm moist winds of the north ward moving air from the Bay of Bengal during the monsoon season are forced to converge into the narrow zone over the Khasi hills.
Mawsynram area is enclosed by hills on three sides which gives the area of funnel shaped geography.
So any of the monsoons that enter the region are trapped by these hills .
The monsoon winds can't escape the area so they bring continuous heavy rainfall.
