Why Indian state west Bengal is called West Bengal when it's located in East????🤔

Image
West Bengal is the state of India. It is one of the large state among the states of India its capital city was Kolkata. And as per directions West Bengal is located in the east but its name was called West Bengal why??? Do you know?? See here is the perfect reason for that......... with the partition of India Pakistan Bengal was also divided into two parts on the basis of religion East part was Muslim populated so it belongs to Pakistan at that time known as East Bengal are more populatarly  East Pakistan. while West part of the Bengal joined India and became West Bengal but in the 1971 war Pakistan lose to India and lost their Control over East Pakistan and they got freedom. East Pakistan after partition from west Pakistan became Bangladesh where as West Bengal was still known as West Bengal even though it is located in East but now a days consider it as just ' Bengal'.
