 On 1st July Jammu and Kashmir government approved the land for 15 projects in Jammu under the adopted Jammu and Kashmir industrial land allotment policy. under this policy the land is initially allotted for 40 years on lease which can be later extended to 99 years each approved project as investment range of  52  to 200 crores.   Indian Railways announced that all 15 train stations in the Kashmir valley including Srinagar are now equipped with Wi-Fi services. On 20 June is celebrated as world Wi-Fi day. Central Railway minister Piyush Goyal announced that all stations have become a part of the largest integrated public Wi-Fi networks in the world connecting 6,000 plus stations across the country. RailTel is the official Wi-Fi broadband and VPN services provide of Train stations. It is wholly owned by Indian Railways. Longest train route in India is the route from Dibrugarh in Assam to kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.It covers the distance of 4286 Kms as the train passes through nine States over a span of 5 days.
