Every year July1st is celebrated as national doctors day by Indian Medical Association (IMA).the day is observed to commemorate the birth and death anniversary of former Bengal chief minister Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.

This day is dedicated to all the doctors health workers who have been serving the people by risking their lives


" Doctors have her big responsibility to bring smiles on the faces of suffering humanity ".

National Doctors' Day - History:

The first National Doctors' Day was celebrated in the year 1991 in the honour of Dr BC Roy's contributions to serving. Dr Roy was a great doctor who made an enormous contribution to the medical field. He was born on July 1, 1882, and died on a similar date in 1962.

He was also conferred with the honour of Bharat Ratna, on February 4, 1961.He was also called the first medical consultant in the subcontinent of India who towered over his contemporaries in several fields by British Medical journal.

Domestic violence cases against women increased in India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Between January and may 2021 more than 2,383 complaints of Domestic violence were filed with the National commission for women. Domestic Violence is abuse by one partner against another in an intimate relationship such as marriage ,family relationship etc.. It can be physical ,emotion ,economic and sexual abuse. It is a violation of fundamental right to live with dignity and of right to equality and equal protection of law guaranteed under Indian Constitution and demand proper legal action.
